Why indica/sativa labels often mislead
Indica and sativa describe a plant's shape, not how it feels. Terpene profile is the better predictor.
The history
The indica/sativa binary comes from 18th-century botany — it described how plants looked, not how they felt.
Why it persists
"Indica = body, sativa = head" is a useful heuristic for newcomers, but the chemistry doesn't back it up. A myrcene-dominant 'sativa' often feels heavier than a limonene-dominant 'indica.'
What we lead with instead
Dominant terpene + cannabinoid range. That predicts the experience much more reliably.
