Myrcene

The most common terpene in cannabis. Earthy and musky, with mango notes — typically associated with the body-heavy 'couch lock' feel.

Where else it's found

Mangoes, hops, lemongrass, thyme.

What it tends to do

Research suggests myrcene increases cannabinoid permeability across the blood-brain barrier — meaning the same THC dose hits harder when myrcene is dominant.

Strains usually myrcene-forward

Blue Dream, OG Kush, Granddaddy Purple, Northern Lights.
