Accessories
The hardware: grinders, papers, pipes, vaporizers, storage, and the rest of the kit.
What accessories are, and how they behave.
Accessories are the gear that makes cannabis usable: how you prepare the flower, how you consume it, and how you store it. The right hardware extends the life and improves the experience of everything else; the wrong hardware undermines an otherwise good product.
The categories worth understanding are grinders (two-piece, four-piece, electric), rolling supplies (papers, tips, mats), glass (pipes, bongs, bubblers), dry-herb and concentrate vaporizers (portable and desktop), dab rigs and e-rigs, and storage (UV-blocking glass, humidity control packs).
Two things to optimize for: durability and cleanability. Cheap glass cracks; cheap vaporizer batteries die in months; cheap grinders gum up. Curated, well-made hardware is almost always cheaper per year of use than the budget version.
